Gyeongsangnam-do, under the leadership of Governor Park Wan-soo, has prepared various grants to support the early settlement of employees of the Aviation Agency and to facilitate family migration.

The province announced that it plans to start distributing family settlement grants, children's scholarships, and childcare support to applicants from the end of February. This aims to assist employees and their families migrating to Gyeongnam in settling down steadily.

Overview of Family Settlement Grants and Children's Scholarships

The grants available for employees of the Aviation Agency and their accompanying families are as follows:

First, a family settlement grant of 2 million won per accompanying family member will be provided, with a maximum of 8 million won available. Next, a scholarship for elementary, middle, and high school children will be offered, providing 500,000 won per child monthly for up to 2 years. Additionally, childcare support will be provided for preschool children, allowing families to receive 500,000 won per child monthly for a maximum of 2 years.

This support means that a family of four could receive benefits totaling up to 41 million won, which is regarded as the best support scheme in the country.

Jinju City and Sacheon City provide additional support... Migrating employees also included

Starting this year, Jinju City and Sacheon City are also beginning to provide settlement grants and children's scholarships. Notably, the settlement grants provided by Jinju and Sacheon Cities will include not just families but also the Aviation Agency employees themselves, supporting stable settlement.

For example, an employee migrating to Gyeongnam with two children in elementary and middle school, along with their spouse, can combine the support from the province and the cities to receive a total benefit of 41 million won. This support policy is expected to promote the influx of population into the region and aid the smooth settlement of the Aviation Agency’s employees.

Gyeongsangnam-do established a support plan to improve living conditions ahead of the opening of the Aviation Agency on May 27 last year. In the second half of the year, settlement grants worth 100,000 won (Welcome Zero Pay) will be provided to employees who migrated to Gyeongnam, assisting their stable settlement.

In the future, the province will spare no effort in providing continuous support to ensure that employees of the Aviation Agency and their families settle down smoothly. Various policies will also be launched to promote the development of the aerospace industry.

The Director of the Industrial Bureau of Gyeongsangnam-do emphasized, "We are doing our best to ensure that the migrating employees of the Aviation Agency and their accompanying families can settle down stably," and added, "In addition to grants, we will improve the living conditions to build a world-class aerospace complex city and establish a foundation for growing with the local community."
