From Train Location Check to Airport Bus and Rental Car Reservations in One Go

KORAIL MaaS is an evolved service from the existing ticket booking app 'KORAIL Talk,' integrating various useful features. Customers can conveniently enjoy their train journeys with a range of services including navigation, train location tracking, parking settlement, airport bus reservation, rental car booking, luggage delivery, leisure voucher purchases, and sightseeing taxi reservation.

In particular, the most used service is real-time train location tracking, which has seen over 5.3 million usages. Additionally, the route navigation service from departure to arrival has been used approximately 250,000 times, providing practical convenience to passengers. KORAIL MaaS makes train travel even easier.

Major Services Seeing a Surge in Usage

Notably, the growth of rental car and parking settlement services is remarkable. Rental car bookings have increased twentyfold compared to last year, rising from 200 to 40,000 bookings. The parking settlement service also experienced a sixfold growth, reaching 172,000 from 29,800.

Additionally, airport bus reservations can now be easily made through the KORAIL app, making it very convenient. Last year, the total count for airport bus reservations was 76,600, reflecting a surge in travel demand.

Expansion of Air+Rail Connection Services for Foreign Tourists

KORAIL offers the 'Air&Rail Connection Ticket' service in partnership with 26 airlines around the world for foreign tourists. The number of foreign tourists using this service increased by 79% compared to the previous year, reaching 1,580 in 2024.

The list of partner airlines includes a diverse range of 26 airlines, such as Singapore Airlines, Finnair, Garuda Indonesia, Qatar Airways, Mongolian Airlines, along with Vietnam Airlines, Xiamen Air, Ethiopian Airlines, Asiana Airlines, AeroMexico, China Southern Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Etihad Airways, Australia Airlines, Royal Brunei Airlines, SN Brussels Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines, Lufthansa, Korean Air, Emirates, Malaysia Airlines, Icelandair, Air Canada, Saudi Airlines, and Turkish Airlines.

Furthermore, starting from December 2024, online reservation services for rental cars, luggage delivery, and sightseeing taxis for foreigners will be available in English, Japanese, and Chinese. This is expected to facilitate easier access for overseas users.

Continuous Development of New Services

KORAIL is committed to continuously expanding its services. Starting in March 2025, a food and beverage reservation service will be introduced within the KORAIL Talk app, allowing passengers to conveniently pick up pre-ordered food and drinks at the station shops timed to their train departures or arrivals.
