This guide comprehensively captures Busan's identity and trends as a food city, providing detailed information on 150 representative eateries.

In particular, it includes information on food alleys, stories of traditional dishes, chef interviews, and goes beyond just introducing eateries to encompass overall culinary culture.

The guidebook is filled with a variety of attractive contents.

It includes essential information such as the location, contact number, signature dishes, and operating hours along with photos of the 150 eateries in Busan. Furthermore, it introduces 13 types of traditional Busan food (e.g., Dongnae Pajeon, Milmyeon, Daejeo Gukbap) and recommended dining establishments.

Chef interviews providing insights into culinary trends in Busan are also included, along with information about food alleys to assist in exploring themed culinary streets.

Recipes linked to high-quality local ingredients produced in Busan (B-FOOD) are provided, featuring dishes using ingredients such as Myeongji green onion, Daejeo tomato, and Yeongdo sweet potato.

Additionally, QR codes are included for 50 restaurants selected last year for the 'Foreign Language Menu Support Project', enabling tourists to easily check menus in English, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Russian, and Arabic.

'Taste of Busan' Going Global! Aiming to Become a Global Gastronomy City

Busan's gastronomy policies are now receiving international attention. Starting in 2023, Busan's gastronomy guidebook and related policies were presented as best practices at the annual meeting of the 'Delice Network', a global gastronomy city alliance. This indicates that Busan is solidifying its status as a food city.

In fact, this guide was first created in 2002, coinciding with the Busan Asian Games and World Cup, and it has continued to be used as a promotional material for Busan's gastronomy. As Busan's culinary culture continues to evolve, it is expected that more people will experience the flavors of Busan in the future.
