Establishment of Public Parking Facility for Freight Vehicles in Bongnim-dong, Gangseo District / Notification of Urban Management Plan Review
- Automobile station in Bongnim-dong 738-1255 area, Gangseo District
A public parking facility for freight vehicles is expected to be established in the Bongnim-dong area of Gangseo District, Busan. The city of Busan has announced a plan to address illegal parking issues caused by a lack of parking spaces and enhance logistics competitiveness through the establishment of an automobile station (public parking facility), and the process of collecting residents' opinions is currently ongoing.
The project site will cover an area of 30,824㎡ in Bongnim-dong 738-1255. In particular, it will be divided into a northern section of 13,449㎡ and a southern section of 17,375㎡, and is expected to solve parking space shortages for freight vehicle drivers and serve as a hub for smooth logistics movement.
This project is expected to improve the logistics environment in Busan and alleviate residents' inconveniences.
Gangseo District is a logistics hub close to the International Industrial Logistics City, Busan New Port, Eco Delta City, and Gadeokdo New Airport. Recently, with increasing logistics demand, illegal parking and roadside abandonment of vehicles have become serious issues. To tackle these problems, there is a growing need to secure public parking facilities and efficiently operate the logistics system in the urban area.
The city of Busan plans to proceed with the review and opinion collection procedures for the urban management plan. This process will take place from March 5, 2025, to March 19, 2025, and the final confirmation is expected to occur after this period. Residents can review the plan through the Busan City Urban Development Department and Gangseo District Office, as well as on the Busan city website, and those with opinions can submit written feedback during this period.
Once this project is completed, it is expected to relieve the parking issues for freight vehicles in the Gangseo District area, improve road conditions, and enhance logistics mobility efficiency.
Especially as the development of Busan New Port and Gadeokdo New Airport is actively progressing, the importance of the logistics industry is becoming more pronounced. Thus, the establishment of the public parking facility is urgent.
The city of Busan plans to coordinate construction schedules and operational plans to commence the construction of the parking facility as soon as possible.
