Busan City plans to promote various transportation infrastructure projects in consultation with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's Metropolitan Transport Committee. This includes the creation of metropolitan railways, trams, transfer centers, and the construction of metropolitan highways.
During this meeting, several major projects for constructing a transportation network connecting Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam were discussed, and they will be reflected in the upcoming preliminary feasibility study and the 5th Metropolitan Transportation Implementation Plan.

Busan City has requested the construction of the Urban Railway Gangseo Line from the Metropolitan Transport Committee.
This tram line is designed to connect 21km from Myeongji Ocean City in Gangseo-gu to Daejeo Station of the Gimhae Light Rail, aiming to meet the increasing transportation demand in the Gangseo area.
The introduction of trams is expected to establish an eco-friendly transportation system and enhance the transportation convenience for residents in the Gangseo area.

This facility will enhance the connection functions between the subway and city buses so that intercity bus passengers heading to Haeundae from the metropolitan area and various regions can transfer more conveniently.

Busan City has requested the construction of a metropolitan highway connecting Geumgok to Yangsan. Currently, the Yangsan section of Road No. 35 is wide, but traffic congestion is severe in the Busan area. To alleviate this, a total of 3.4km will be expanded to four lanes to facilitate traffic flow between Busan and Yangsan.

The transportation-related projects proposed by Busan City must pass the review of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's Metropolitan Transport Committee to be included in the '5th Metropolitan Transportation Implementation Plan'.
After these projects are reflected in the plan, they must pass a preliminary feasibility study to be actually implemented.
Finally, once the projects are finalized, the basic plan and detailed design will be completed before construction begins.
