The project implementers, Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) and Busan Urban Corporation, are collaborating to proceed with the project, which will be led by public initiatives. The project timeline is set from 2012 to 2030.
This project has been designated as an industrial complex development project based on special laws for the development of the research and development special zone and the Industrial Location and Development Act, and the relevant procedures are being conducted in accordance with the "Law on the Acquisition and Compensation of Land for Public Projects".

Reviewing the details of this approval, approximately 750,000㎡, which is 43% of the total area, has been designated as industrial facility land. Among this, 490,000㎡ is for advanced industries, 220,000㎡ for industrial complex facilities, and 30,000㎡ for research facilities. Notably, a significant portion of the industrial facilities consists of advanced industries, providing advantageous conditions for attracting high value-added industries in the future.
Additionally, support facility land is allocated at 270,000㎡, while commercial and office land is designated at 30,000㎡, with parks and green spaces covering 300,000㎡. The road area is planned at 350,000㎡, and other facility land is distributed over 7,700㎡. This comprehensive plan is expected to have a positive impact on regional development.
The ratio of parks and green spaces in the Busan research and development district is 17.2%, exceeding legal standards. This is evaluated as part of an eco-friendly urban planning initiative that contributes to a pleasant working environment.
Furthermore, the well-established basic infrastructure includes pedestrian-only roads, retention basins, and sewage pump stations, showcasing the appearance of an industrial complex based on systematic urban planning.
